Work From Home Envelopes - Is This A Scam Or Can You Make Money?
Making money by work from home envelopes is one of the oldest work from home scams which has been around for many decades. People have been warned with regards to sending money to companies who claim that one can make money stuffing envelopes as well as obtaining lists of companies looking for home workers.
The way it works is that you pay a fee and then will receive a list of companies who are looking for people to fill envelopes with promotional materials or whatever else. And because people are looking to make extra money they send off the fee only to find that this stuffing envelopes scam does not work the way it was advertised. Basically once you have sent the fee all you will receive in turn is how to place advertisements almost the same as the one you responded to which in turn will just scam more people out of their hard earned money.
Work from home filling envelopes is still widely advertised on the internet as well as in magazines and newspapers. Many people who come across these ads find them appealing and then fall for it hook line and sinker. Why? People are looking to make some extra cash and mainly because it seems like easy money to be made. Let us take a look at how envelope stuffing really works.
This all sounds fantastic, but unfortunately is not the case. Here is how stuffing envelopes really works.... once you have signed up you will receive mail stating that Mrs Jones makes $1000 every week by doing this easy endeavour and that every enveloped that is stuffed you will make $2 (or whatever amount stipulated) and then the company will ask you to send them a fee of $30 up front if you are serious about making money. This $30 covers their administration fees and some companies even give you a guarantee.
If you decide to send off your $30 in good faith, then the company should send you a (very small) starter pack (which hopefully it does ACTUALLY arrive). Once you have opened the package you will then realize that you are not going to be paid what was initially promised. You will get told to spread the news by advertising yourself the same way they did and asking for a fee, and that is actually how you will get paid. So you don’t actually sit and stuff envelopes at all, as it is all a scam to get you to sign up.
So how exactly do work from home envelopes work? By advertising the envelope filling program, and all that happens is that the company wants you to advertise to help them with those upfront fees by sending out the same advertisement that you initially got excited about. And yes, you were not told about that before you sent your $30 out, and as you can now see you won’t get paid anything until they get paid.
Yes you can actually earn that $1000 a week but you will have to place an advertisement and ask people to send you $2 to find out about the filling envelope program. Or you may have to send out a thousand of their sales pitch letters in order to earn that $2.
Now that you know exactly what work from home envelopes are all about (and that there are many people actually making money) you need to ask yourself is this is really a good business opportunity or does it provide any service that has value. This scam actually looks for a hook and the hook is the person signing up.
